  • Abstract

The increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the workforce has significantly altered skill requirements, making AI proficiency a crucial factor in enhancing employability. This conceptual study explores the learning impact of AI skills on employability and its influence on contemporary employment trends. The research integrates theoretical perspectives, including Human Capital Theory, Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Skill-Biased Technological Change (SBTC), and Constructivist Learning Theory, to examine how AI-driven learning tools and training initiatives can shape workforce development. Moreover, through thematic and comparative analysis of existing literature, this research paper attempts to highlight the importance of AI skills in enhancing adaptability, creating new job opportunities, and addressing potential workforce challenges, such as skill gaps and job displacement. The study proposes a conceptual framework for incorporating AI skills into education and workforce development strategies to foster a resilient, future-ready labour market. The observations advocate for strategic collaboration among educators, policymakers, and industry leaders to ensure the workforce is equipped with the necessary technical and soft skills to thrive in an AI-driven economy. This conceptual study underscores the need for continuous learning, targeted upskilling programs, and the integration of ethical AI practices to ensure an inclusive and sustainable workforce.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been established in 2003 to combat pervasive corruption and financial crimes. The role of the EFCC in Nigeria, focusing on its perceived function as an instrument of selective justice. Moreover, it has faced significant criticism regarding its operational integrity and impartiality. The research critically examines and analyzes the concept of selective justice, highlighting how political affiliations and external influences impact the commission’s effectiveness. The present study emphasizes the need for reforms to enhance the EFCC’s independence, transparency, and accountability. In furtherance, through case studies of high-profile individuals, including politicians and public officials, the study illustrates instances of selective enforcement, raising concerns about the EFCC’s commitment to impartiality. Furthermore, the recommendations comprise of strengthening institutional frameworks, promoting public awareness, and fostering collaboration with international bodies. Also, the findings revealed that the EFCC is often perceived as a tool for political manipulation, undermining public trust and fostering a culture of impunity among political elites. This perception not only hampers the EFCC’s credibility but also deters citizen engagement in anti-corruption efforts. The study underscores the critical relationship between political influence, public perception, and the efficacy of anti-corruption strategies, offering insights into the broader implications for governance in Nigeria. Thus, by addressing these issues, the EFCC can work towards becoming a more effective agency in the fight against corruption, ultimately contributing to improved governance and national development in Nigeria.

Classroom communication plays an ultimate binder cementing multi-level teacher-learner interactions to their varied functions, which also interestingly has been leveraging itself with progressive techno-academic leap. Post pandemic, both the meaning of ‘classroom’ and ‘communication’ in an academic milieu invited wider scope for investigation. Moreover, classroom communication ranging from conventional, online, hybrid, flipped, to asynchronous or synchronous-natured classrooms, reflecting the pressing need on teacher/ facilitator to acclimatize with corresponding delivery strategies (i.e., adapting classroom communication) is surmounting. Fascinatingly to this challenge, technology added fuel both in the sense of flexibility and tests for teachers impelled them to re-skill themselves. Soon, a segment of teachers claiming their technological literacy as techno-pedagogy fathomed how digital pervasiveness is the ‘new normal’ of education and comes with its own set of tall expectations; studies supporting on mounting mismatch of techno-literacy indicated its less effective implementation causing technostress among teachers across the globe. Hence, by looking closer one can analyze the process, through injecting or assimilating technological tools into teaching practices has no purposeful meaning unless it meets the goal of knowledge enrichment. Thus, educational communication in its wider sense seeks recalibration. This could be through inspecting it from teachers’ side to redress the slowly slipping purpose of education and fading away of teachers’ autonomy, deluded by alarming technological overdependence among substantial learners. The present conceptual research study attempts to understand how the higher education teachers’ educational communication stands impacted by technostress and its related aspects. Moreover, it aims to address whether the enriching knowledge deliverance causes higher education teachers’ technostress with respect to classroom interaction. Also, an interesting intersection for future classroom deliverances by higher education teachers and ways to tailor such deliverances confronting possible (newer) technostress sources in the teaching-learning context will be the broader scope of the study.

Line following is a fundamental robotic navigation technique, wherein a robot automatically follows a predefined path, typically marked by a line on the ground. This process is achieved using sensors, such as infrared or camera-based systems. This system detects the contrast between the surrounding surface and the line. Control system of the Robot processes the received sensor data to adjust the robot’s steering and maintain its trajectory along the line. Moreover, by using line following robot as the basic design, Waiter’s Bot is designed. Moreover, it is used to carry the order placed by the customers and deliver it to the respective table and after delivering the order it goes back to the pantry to fetch the other order. This study explores to understand the principles, sensor technologies, control algorithms, and practical applications of line-following robots.

Focusing on political elites’ dual character as facilitators and barriers to national progress, this article examines the function of Nigeria’s political elites from 1999 to 2024. The political elites have a disproportionate say in allocating resources and crafting policies after the restoration of democratic rule, frequently putting their own interests and those of their groups ahead of the common good. As a result, people no longer have faith in government because of pervasive corruption, heightened inequality, and persistent societal tensions. The study sheds insight on the nation’s problems, the historical setting of elites’ power dynamics, and the effects of elites conduct on development outcomes in the country. In addition to that, it delves into the current political climate, which has seen changes such as the emergence of youth movements and calls for accountability that poses a threat to the power of the existing elites. The study concludes by stating that a more egalitarian political climate can only be achieved by tackling the problems of elites’ misbehaviour and subsequently promoting institutional reforms, transparency, and more citizen involvement in Nigeria political affairs.
